Effective 19th August 2021, we are pleased to announce that INSB Class has concluded and confirmed its RO status by the Maritime Industry Authority of the Philippines (MARINA).
According to the signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between MARINA and INSB Class and having been accredited under MARINA Circular No. 2018-01, INSB Class is fully authorised to perform statutory survey and classification services leading to the issue of pertinent certification for Philippine shipping companies and their Philippine registered ships, including Mobile Offshore Units.
The latter accreditation and RO authorisation status was awarded to INSB Class following a broad context of assessment and review activities by MARINA, inclusive of a successful virtual audit which confirmed INSB Class compliance with MARINA’s applicable policies, advisories and regulations as well as the IMO RO Code requirements.
For the most effective implementation of the RO duties entrusted by MARINA and seamless communication, INSB Class has established and retains a local regional representation office situated in Manila, INSB Philippines, headed by Captain Frank Tourneur.
